What it does
You point Claude at a PDF file on your computer. Claude checks whether it's a text document, scanned image, or form, then extracts the text, pictures, tables, or attachments you need. You get the content pulled out in a usable form instead of stuck inside the PDF.
Who it’s for
A good fit for anyone working with Word, PDF, Excel or PowerPoint files and people who research markets, competitors or topics.
Do you need to code?
No. You can use this without writing or editing any code.
How to install
Add it to Claude as a skill. Download the skill folder from its source page, zip it, and upload it in Claude’s settings under Skills. See the step-by-step guide.
Safety note
Runs bundled commands and scripts on your computer to read files.
As with any add-on, only install skills from sources you trust, and read what it does first.
