What it does
Tell Claude the concept a student has just learned. Claude presents one similar challenge and one very different challenge that both rely on the same underlying idea, then asks the student to explain what's the same, what's different, and what principle carries over. You get a clear check on whether learning actually stuck or was just familiar with one example.
